Laura MacMillan
Laura MacMillan is a Senior Orthopaedic Technologist with Nova Scotia Health with over twenty years’ experience. Laura is one of four certified Orthopaedic Technologists in Nova Scotia. She is passionate about educating and mentoring. Her professional development includes but is not limited to: Certification in Functional Cast Bracing, Custom Knee Bracing, Halos, Wound Care, Facilitation, and Harvard Trade Union Program 2022. In addition to her professional certifications, Laura is an active member and leader in several professional organizations including the Canadian Society of Orthopaedic Technologists, President of the Nova Scotia Healthcare Local, Board of Directors for NSGEU, and a member of the Canadian Healthcare Professionals Secretariat. Laura is a highly respected professional who is dedicated to providing the highest quality patient care and advancing the field of Orthopaedic Technology. When she is not working Laura is a dedicated grandmother of four who enjoys photography and travel.
