Pub Crawl
October 20, 2023 from 7:00pm ADT to 12:00pm ADT
Join your CAPA 2023 conference planning committee for an exciting downtown pub crawl and mini sightseeing stroll through the beautiful city of Fredericton. Our first stop will be Picaroons Roundhouse. Picaroons Brewing Company is a local favourite. Although we will start the evening here around 7pm, you may arrive at your leisure. Feel free to bring your appetite as 540NORTH kitchen will be serving up elevated pub-style eats. Around 9pm, we will cross the iconic Bill Thorpe walking bridge over the St. John River into the heart of downtown, which dates back to the 1700's in some areas. Our second stop will be the Lunar Rogue Pub, Fredericton's oldest downtown pub. Steeped in Maritime tradition, "The Rogue" boasts a massive whiskey selection in addition to all the usual favourites. A full dinner menu and pub snacks are available here, too. Lastly, around 11:15pm, we will end our pub crawl in the historic Morrison building, built in 1869, home of O'Hickeys Irish Pub. Transportation - To walk from the Delta to Picaroons would take an hour. However, there is construction so we do not recommend cabbing directly to the Roundhouse. The most cost effective option would be to taking a 7 minute cab ride to the legislature or being dropped off near the walking bridge, followed by a 5 minute walk.
